WHAT IS IBIZ?
The UKTI Life Sciences International Business Innovation Zone (IBIZ) is being held as part of the Healthcare Innovation EXPO, featuring a significant one-to-one partnering opportunity with 100 buyers and partners from 25 markets. We anticipate over 300 UK biotech and medtech companies looking to expand their international presence will attend to pre-book meetings and forge new partnerships.
INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Buyers and partners from markets including the USA, Europe, India, China and the Middle East will attend IBIZ looking to meet and partner with UK companies. Partnering opportunities will be available in biotechnologies (including Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine) and medical technologies. Commercial Officers from all 25 markets will be present to give advice on the latest market opportunities and how UKTI can help you successfully enter new markets.
SEMINAR PROGRAMME
Seminar sessions will be held around IBIZ covering topics including regenerative medicine, stem cells, clinical trials and the latest technology developments in the USA and Europe; personalised medicine and clinical research; telemedicine; aid funded business; and opportunities in key markets, including a special workshop on accessing the US market with officials from the FDA and GPOs.
EXHIBITOR SHOWCASE
UK companies looking to increase their exposure to international partners by displaying innovative products and services are invited to apply for space. A limited number of exhibition spaces are available on the IBIZ show floor and will be themed into biotech and medtech zones.
INVESTMENT PITCHES
UK SMEs seeking funding from VC funds and Business Angels will be invited to submit their business proposition for review by an expert panel of investors and Life Sciences entrepreneurs. The best proposals will be short listed and invited to present to an audience of investors at IBIZ.
