Our innovation hub
Medipex assists NHS organisations and their employees (doctors, nurses, R&D staff, supporting functions et al.) in the region to recognize the true value of their ideas. Guidance and practical support is provided from the idea stage through to development and final product launch in the marketplace. This ensures that the innovations and Intellectual Property (IP) within the NHS are identified and developed in the interests of improved patient care and also for the benefit of the NHS and the inventors.
The Medipex Yorkshire and Humber NHS Innovation Competition, which is held annually, aims to identify individuals and teams working for the NHS whose ideas or inventions have directly led to or could lead to improvements in patient care and must be capable of being scaled up for wider implementation across the NHS.
The competition is open to all NHS staff in the Yorkshire and Humber region and anyone working with an NHS employee in this area for example a company, a university or an individual. Four categories are available to enter:
• Medical devices and diagnostics
• Software and ICT
• Assistive Technology and Rehabilitation
• and publications and training materials
Each year Medipex receives over 70 entries from a wide range of NHS staff including nurses, consultants and medical engineers highlighting the wealth of innovation happening within the NHS in our region. Click here for examples

ExCeL London is an international exhibition and convention centre, located in the heart of London's Royal Docks, within easy reach of central London.
The venue is part of a 100 acre campus, including 3 onsite DLR stations, easy access to the Jubilee Line and London City Airport, parking, on-site hotels and numerous on-site bars and restaurants.
