South Staffordshire PCT CD Rom 'Reality - the Real NHS'
Aimed at recruiting the next generation of NHS workers, the CD-Rom provides a glimpse at the action-packed lives of real people working for the health service in South Staffordshire. It includes exclusive clips of over 100 members of staff working with patients and revealing the best bits about their jobs and the more unusual aspects.
The CD-Rom was made with the tremendous support of staff, patients, the public and other healthcare organisations. The content and style was shaped by young people from local schools and youth groups who attended focus groups pre and post production.
The CD-Rom was launched in February 2009 and has been distributed to careers advisers working in schools, colleges and other settings to help young people to select a career in the NHS, encouraging them to choose the right subject options and pathway to enable them to kick-start a career in the health service, whatever their interests, skills or qualifications.
The CD-Rom will inspire the next generation of healthcare workers – young people, who are passionate about making a difference, to work for the NHS in one of a huge range of exciting and challenging jobs.
