Regenerative Medicine
The Innovation legal duty aims to drive the spread and adoption of leading edge, innovative practice across the NHS (see notes in section. Combined with this, is the Office of Life Sciences Blueprint whichspecifically aims to support the development of regenerative medicine in the UK to drive up innovation and attract high quality research, allied to specialist acute hospitals with clinical trials facilitites, giving access to frontline clinicians and their patient populations.
There is a collaborative approach to developing the strength of regenerative medicine in the East Midlands –partners include Loughborough University and the Deans of the Medical Schools at the University of Nottingham and University of Leicester.
