Time and motion study has shown that using the CardioQ-ODM to fluid optimise patients during surgery typically only takes 3 minutes. This simple and quick to use technology has been proven in 9 clinical trials, 4 meta analyses and 2 systematic reviews to reduce post operative complications, reduce hospital stay and so reduce cost. There are estimated to be 800,000 moderate to high risk surgical patients annually in the NHS who could benefit from use of this technology. The technology 
has recently been subject to audit by the national Technology Adoption Centre and their results show that the technology’s benefits were achieved in 3 UK hospitals following a short implementation period. NTAC representatives will be available for discussion.
