National Cancer Action Team
The National Cancer Action Team (NCAT) is a national team that reports to the National Cancer Director. Its role is to support the NHS and facilitate the implementation of the Cancer Reform Strategy. It works closely alongside the Cancer Policy Team in the Department of Health and with the NHS Cancer Networks.

C-PORT is a web-based simulator which enables cancer hospitals to effectively plan capacity and improve access to cancer medicines for patients.
CCT is a web-based tool which supports commissioners and cancer service providers, helping them to understand and apply data to assist the planning and delivery of world class cancer services for the communities they serve.
Developed by a unique partnership of the NHS and the private sector, C-PORT and CCT are being implemented widely throughout NHS by the National Cancer Action Team and the pharmaceutical industry, with technical support and development from Concentra.
National Cancer Patient Information Programme is developing tailored and bespoke information prescriptions for all cancer patients, together with information from tumour specific National Cancer Information Pathways.

The Pharmaceutical Oncology Initiative Industry Group is a group of 18 pharmaceutical companies, all members of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) who have joined together to work with the NHS in improving access to cancer medicines across the UK.
The POIP are working together to ensure that cancer patients get access to services and treatments in the UK that are world class, supporting the implementation of the Department of Health’s Cancer Reform Strategy
