NHS Comparators is a national resource, and is part of the Secondary Uses Service (SUS) delivered by The NHS Information Centre. NHS Comparators is one of The NHS IC’s most useful and user-friendly online products, it helps to investigate aspects of local activity, costs and outcomes compared to your peers. It provides comparator data for NHS commissioning and provider organisations, enabling users to investigate aspects of local activity, costs and outcomes. It is designed to be supplemented by information available in local systems. NHS Comparators includes 150 comparative measures and focuses on a number of preventative health areas including asthma and diabetes. This online tool examines activity and costed data through the Payment by Results (PbR) tariff from the Secondary Uses Service (SUS), together with Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) information, GP practice demographic population profile data and now prescribing data.
